Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) funded rear bathroom extension, Brighton

We were pleased to be awarded this interesting and unusual contract to construct an accessible bathroom facility that was to be suspended on posts. The concept being that it would replace an old outbuilding that had previously been erected in its location and that it would also match the finishes of the existing kitchen extension on the opposite side of the property.

Internally the bathroom comprised a level access & thermostatically controlled shower, a Geberit Aquaclean washer / dryer toilet and a basin. We also installed a bath at the clients request.

Testimonial

We have used JG&JR Langridge for an unusual project, building and installing an elevated disabled-accessible bathroom, and constructing a wheelchair-accessible ramp to our front door, with assistance from the Council’s Disabled Facilities Grant

As such the work had to meet very strict specifications, but Lee Pollard and his colleagues consistently made great efforts to work within these parameters to assist us in creating a bathroom and ramp that still felt personal and beautiful. Throughout the build the staff have been consistently impressive.

The work is of a very high standard, and all the workmen have been friendly, accommodating and respectful of the fact that they were working in and around a busy family home. We would gladly recommend Langridge’s and their sub-contractors to others in the future.
