What we did

JG&JR Langridge carried out the complete bungalow remodel and refurbishment project in Shoreham By Sea. The works comprised the construction of an additional storey on the roof and a rear ground floor extension to create a new five bedroom house. The fit out included complete new electrical, data and heating installations. Three new bathrooms and the kitchen. We fabricated and fitted the painted & oak staircase and a bespoke oak front door and sidelight. We salvaged the old parquet flooring which was fully refurbished and refitted to the property on completion. We returned the following year to install a new driveway at the property.

Rear Extension

Traditional construction rear extension finished with a Weber monocouche spray on render system. Parapet flat roof with GRP covering.

Pre-fabricated timber frame

Pre-fabricated timber frame and roof trusses were craned into position to create new first floor living space. Insulated to current regulations and clad with handmade clay tiles.

New kitchen / diner / lounge

New open plan living space was formed at the rear which included a sunken lounge area which due to the sloping site ensured that level access was achievable with the patio and garden.
