What we did

JG&JR Langridge were pleased to be awarded the construction of a new timber framed rear extension complete with enlarged terrace and levelled tier lawn area. Prior to commencement we were able to suggest a couple of tweaks to the design to ensure the finished product would meet the clients expectations in terms of both function and aesthetics. Internal works comprised fairly comprehensive structural alterations, new underfloor heating, a new bespoke pantry and the refit of the utility room.

Timber frame

Fully insulated timber frame structure finished externally with modern Weber spray render system to the walls & liquid membrane roof covering.

Bi-Fold Doors

Aluminium bi-fold doors complete with integral blinds and matching corner support post.

Under-floor heating

Independently controlled underfloor wet heating system incorporated into existing floor levels.

Enlarged terrace

Newly constructed terrace providing level access with the new extension and steps down to the newly levelled tiered lawn. The terrace was finished with sandstone paving with oak sleepers providing flower beds.

What our client thinks

I can 100% recommend JG & JR Langridge. Whilst they were not the cheapest estimate we received, the ease with which the project progressed and the quality of the workmanship mean we have no regrets about our choice.

We commissioned Langridge to build a single-storey extension and landscape our sloping garden. The work was project managed by Lee who was professional, honest and courteous throughout the process. Communication was great; we never experienced any problems reaching Lee and we always felt we were treated fairly by him when things changed or we came up against unforeseen costs.

The subcontractors all shared Langridge’s values; we weren’t let down by any of them. We are delighted by the end result and would use Lee and Langridge again in a heartbeat.
